Precision instrumentation

Our precision instruments and their software are used in a wide range of areas:

  • Measuring macular degeneration (a common eye problem)
  • Detecting subsea cables
  • Measuring temperatures
  • Calibrating other equipment or
  • Checking the qualities of paints and rubbers

In some cases measuring the temperature to 1/10th of a degree Celsius is enough – others may need it measured to a 1/1,000th of a degree. For many global industries, accuracy to just the right level is essential to deliver guaranteed on-spec products, and minimise costs (sometimes even to help save lives). This is just as true for a coatings manufacturer as is it for a food processing plant or a healthcare provider.

Our instrumentation products are used everywhere from the highest-precision temperature and electrical measurements for national metrology laboratories to everyday temperature and pressure sensing used by restaurants and building engineers. We also build equipment to measure many qualities in paint and coatings, as well as delivering precision capabilities for ophthalmology and radiotherapy.
